Greetings IMA Members and Visitors,
My name is Ashley and I've been involved with the IMA for nearly a decade. My IMA journey began as the student chapter president at my local university where my professor at the time encouraged me to get involved. Since then, I've been involved in the organization in numerous capacities ranging from different roles on the local chapter board to participating in global board committees. I'm proud to be part of this professional organization and connecting with the accounting and finance professionals both locally and globally.
Our chapter covers Portland, Oregon and surrounding areas reaching all the way south to Eugene and north, across the Columbia River up to Vancouver, WA. Our goal is to support the accounting and finance career from the start, offering our support to students and our local student chapters all the way to the more experienced management accounting professional. We pride ourselves on being a chapter that offers high caliber CPE content and networking opportunities to foster long-lasting professional relationships.
Last year, after a hiatus due to an unprecedented pandemic, we finally returned to offering in person events. As we roll into a new fiscal year, and our second year back to being able to connect in person, our local Portland Chapter is dedicating this next year to continue delivering consistent, relevant continued professional education (CPE) and networking opportunities to help serve our members to the best of our abilities.
